Almería Roots is a private day designed around one of the region's oldest traditions: olive oil. You'll visit a working mill, walk through a historic village, and sit down to a guided tasting of extra virgin olive oils paired with local tapas. No crowds, no rush — just good food and real context.
How the experience unfolds?
The day begins with a visit to a village with its own unique character, where we stroll through its streets and gain an understanding of its historical, social and agricultural context.
We then head to a local olive oil mill, where we discover the process of making extra virgin olive oil, from the cultivation of the olive trees to the extraction.
The experience continues with a guided tasting of different types of extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by a selection of tapas made with local produce and artisan bread. Here we come to understand how olive oil is not just a foodstuff, but an essential part of Almeria’s culture.
We finish with a relaxed chat about the landscape, traditions and the evolution of the region.
